Job Description
The role is part of the Global Site Infrastructure Team, responsible for management of all local infrastructure services & projects at a one or more sites covering all segments.
The role is also responsible for our managed service delivery across responsible sites managing day-to-day activities of contractor resources.
Key Responsibilities
Build, maintain & implement ongoing site infrastructure improvement plan
Day to day execution of site business operations activities should be a minority component of the role, although still accountable for the service delivery to the site(s)
Identify opportunities for improved reliability, supportability or efficiency & incorporate into plan
Manage resources to implement hands-on aspects of the plan
Work with project teams / application owners to recommend appropriate solutions such as local hosting options
Regularly review site service levels, project activities, site infra roadmap
Plan & request CAB budget for the site(s)
Manage more complex technical requests not typically handled by the Business operations roles
Manage larger, more complex technical projects for the site(s) Covers above activities for 1 or more sites
May lead a specific technical area across multiple sites
Works independently without regular supervision. Takes technical decisions for own site(s).
Workload driven typically by own action plan for site(s), plus more complex requests/projects not tackled by local analysts.
Make technical decisions that may be outside a defined framework in order to deal with project requests, continually improve site infrastructure & plan annual budget for the site.
Use their technical knowledge and judgement to drive improvements on their site(s).
Build and maintain relationship with business and provide technical advice when needed.
Job Requirements
1. Education
Educated to degree level.
ITIL certification is preferred, but not essential.
2. Knowledge/Experience
Years of experience in IT service mgmt, IT project mgmt or similar. Experience dealing with people/customers at different levels of the business. Good broad understanding of infrastructure technology
3. Fluent English speaker - Must
