                        | Job Summary 
 The analyst is responsible for using a range of analytic approaches to provide insights regarding the technology industry and diversified Korean companies. In addition, the role will use internal and external specialty tools and databases to support strategic decisions.
 
 Working in conjunction with Knowledge leadership and other business functions (e.g., operations, business development), the analyst also contributes to articles and thought leadership to differentiate company in the marketplace.
 
 The role collaborates with a virtual team of colleagues across the global Knowledge community to serve the assigned accounts and stakeholder groups.
 
 Essential Functions of the Job:
 
 Analysis
  Participates in strategic and complex initiatives to support business opportunities.
  Identifies issues and events that will impact the technology and telecom industries; recognizes trends and key drivers; and proactively presents an insightful perspective.
  Works collaboratively to produce insightful qualitative and/or quantitative analysis to fulfil both structured and unstructured requests to support the executive leadership ; includes the creation (or the project management) of thought leadership, newsletters, internal briefings, early warning alerts and other deliverables.
  Possesses a strong understanding of the technology industry and diversified tech companies.
  Demonstrates an understanding of analytical tools and techniques, and adapts those tools to address specific business issues.
  Demonstrates the ability to develop multiple hypotheses, to investigate the alternatives, and to recommend solutions.
  Draws together information from primary and secondary sources to prove or disprove hypotheses.
  Demonstrates the ability to use “what if” approaches to determine impact of changes on all areas of a client’s business.
  Possesses the ability to collect information from individuals using direct interviewing and elicitation techniques.
 
 Communication
  Demonstrates good use of structured thinking in analytics. Articulates points of view clearly and coherently.
  Presents information visually in a compelling manner, supplementing text and narrative.
  Written and spoken presentation is sophisticated and tailored to the audience.

 Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
  Strong market research/analysis skills
  Deep understanding of Korean diversified companies.
  Succinct and structured oral and written communications skills
  Proficient presentation skills
  Works with limited supervision; works well under pressure and produces multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment
  Responds to requests with a sense of urgency; able to prioritize conflicting needs
  Good project and time management skills; strong attention to detail
  Comfortable working in a virtual global team environment
  Proficient in retrieval of information from proprietary online databases, external resources (e.g., Thomson, IDC), wire services, the internet and other secondary sources
  Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
 
 Supervision Responsibilities:
  Able to work with limited supervision; works well under pressure
  Provides guidance, coaching and peer review to other analysts and researchers

  May require occasional travel
  Fluent in English, both written and verbal
 
 Job Requirements:
 Education:
  Bachelor’s degree in relevant field (e.g., Economics, Finance, Business, Statistics, Journalism, Law, English, Mathematics) or equivalent work experience
  MBA or Master’s degree with business/ economics disciplines preferred
 Experience:
  Five years or more experience in a leading technology company, and/or financial institutes.
  Detailed knowledge and proven track record in conducting industry/ competitive intelligence analysis and market research
  Knowledge and experience within a professional services environment an advantage
  Deep knowledge about the technology industry, Korean market and companies, and an understanding of adjacent markets such as telecommunications, industrial products and construction.
